. Welcome to the Dordogne, a 450 thousand year-old land of welcome.
You are about to learn or improve your French and discover a new way of life thanks to total immersion.

Throughout your stay, you share your hosts’ life, values and culture and are considered as a member of the family.
Your host family is selected to welcome you and familiarise you with the French family way of life.

. On your arrival, you will be given your own set of keys and a city map.

. You can settle in your bedroom. Sheets and towels are changed every week. For your personal laundry, come to an agreement with your hosts. (Do not use domestic appliances without asking for permission).

. You have your meals with the family. Dordogne is a region well known for its cuisine. Meals are generally copious but do not hesitate to let the family know about your tastes. (Storing food in the bedroom is forbidden).

. Whenever you plan to have dinner out, do not forget to tell the family. (Meals not taken with the family are not refunded).

. You cannot use the family telephone unless permission has been given. If you do not own a mobile phone, they will show you the nearest phone box.

.Still, you can receive phone calls between 09.00 and 21.00 (local time, be careful!).

. You may have access to all the pulic rooms in the house and may use the equipment (TV, VCR, sport equipment, garden, …).

In any case of misunderstanding, do not hesitate to talk to the family or the teacher who can help you solve the problem. Good communication often contributes to a successful stay.
